It seems that Britain has been hit by a trend; a trend for hand crafted, homemade…everything. Whilst there’s no doubt that arts and crafts can be both therapeutic and rewarding, surely the line must be drawn somewhere? Planning a wedding is undeniably complicated and time consuming, so why not let the professionals take care of your wedding stationery so that you can sit back and relax with a cup of tea and a stack of wedding magazines.

For many of your guests, the first glimpse of your wedding will come when their invitation falls onto the doormat. A chic and stylish, professionally printed wedding invite will give the impression of a chic and stylish bride and groom working effortlessly together to organise their big day. Obviously, this may not be the exact case but, as with gifts, it’s the thought that counts!

Many couples find that it’s far more cost efficient to have their wedding invitations and wedding stationery made by a specialist company, rather than creating each item individually. Although at first glance it may appear far cheaper to spend a few pounds on paper and decorating materials, considering that the average wedding has 80 guests these costs can soon mount up. Then you add in the hidden costs of ink for your printer, envelopes and the biggest cost of all, your TIME, and you find yourself 8 weeks before the big day, 10 invites in, covered in glue and wondering what on earth you were thinking of with the Kirsty Allsopp inspired Blue Peter approach! To top things off you know you still have your orders of service, table plans, place cards, table names, menu’s, and, if you ever get that far, thank you cards all left to do!

The idea of creating an entirely individual wedding invitation is appealing, but with many companies now offering a bespoke design service your wedding stationery can be both professional and unmistakably YOU.

So allow a specialist wedding stationery company, like We Do Invitations, to take the hard work out of your hands, so that your wedding looks as good on paper as you will do on your special day!

With a date and venue booked and only 100 days until the big day, many will be eagerly awaiting their invitation to the Royal Wedding of the decade. So what can we anticipate from the Royal couple to be? While the We Do Office would love to see some bold designs and colours much like the characters of Prince William and Kate we are hedging our bets on a much more traditional look and can only hope for a hint of majestic “prettiness”. Although nearly 30 years ago, in keeping with tradition, the invite of Prince Charles and Lady Diana with its plain black printed calligraphy on cream paper with the the 3 feathers crest may be a reflection of what to expect?

At We Do Invitations we have an environmental conscious, so when we were scouring the lands to see which paper our designs would look best on, we also took into consideration the impact of our actions on the environment. As a result we selected paper and envelopes that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council – FSC so you can be confident that you are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests.
The FSC is the only certification system supported by environmental organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund, Rain Forest Alliance, Greenpeace, Woodland Trust and Friends of the Earth. It is their job to ensure that the forests are managed to protect wildlife habitat and respect the rights of local communities.
So now you know you are helping save the earth you will also be pleased to know that We Do Invitations will help you save money too by offering you exceptionally good value for money throughout our whole range with prices starting from just £1!

At We Do Invitations we know how easy it is when planning a wedding to lose sight of the real purpose of it all – a celebration of love! So we have put together a small collection of poems that should stir some emotion and may even be something that you can use in your service or day somewhere.

At We Do Invitations we feel it’s important to use your emotions to guide you in how to word your invites, something that reflects you as a couple, the way you feel about each other and the tone you want to set for your all important wedding day. That’s why we offer a fully personalised service where the bride and groom can write whatever suits them on their invites. For those of you who would like some invite verse suggestions, we have hand picked 24 to get you started and displayed them on our wording page. Good luck x

A Soulmate

A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.

Richard Bach

Love Will Conquer

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
no disease that enough love will not heal;
no door that enough love will not open;
no gulf that enough love will not bridge;
no wall that enough love will not throw down;
no sin that enough love will not redeem . . .

It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble;
how hopeless the outlook;
how muddled the tangle;
how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
If only you could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world . . .

Emmet Fox

A Return to Love

Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.

Marianne Williamson

What is Love?

Love is . . . Being happy for the other person when they are happy, Being sad for the person when they are sad, Being together in good times, And being together in bad times.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF STRENGTH.
Love is . . . Being honest with yourself at all times, Being honest with the other person at all times, Telling, listening, respecting the truth, And never pretending.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF REALITY.
Love is . . . An understanding so complete that you feel as if you are a part of the other person, Accepting the other person just the way they are, And not trying to change them to be something else.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF UNITY.
Love is . . . The freedom to pursue your own desires while sharing your experiences with the other person, The growth of one individual alongside of and together with the growth of another individual.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF SUCCESS.
Love is . . . The excitement of planning things together, The excitement of doing things together.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF THE FUTURE.
Love is . . . The fury of the storm, The calm in the rainbow.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF PASSION.
Love is . . . Giving and taking in a daily situation, Being patient with each other’s needs and desires.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF SHARING.
Love is . . . Knowing that the other person will always be with you regardless of what happens, Missing the other person when they are away but remaining near in heart at all times.
LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF SECURITY.
LOVE IS . . . THE SOURCE OF LIFE!
